Install and activate your byOne eSIM
Follow these steps carefully. Installation options and network settings may vary by device and eSIM plan.
1. Add your eSIM
On iPhone, open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Add eSIM. On Android, open your SIM Manager or Mobile Network settings and choose the option to add an eSIM.
2. Choose an installation method
Use the method supplied with your byOne eSIM: direct installation, QR code, or manual installation details. Keep the installation information private.
3. Label your travel eSIM
Choose a clear label such as byOne Travel or the destination name so you can easily identify it later.
4. Keep your primary line for calls if needed
If you use Dual SIM, you can usually keep your primary line for calls and messages while selecting the byOne eSIM for mobile data.
5. Select byOne for mobile data
Choose the newly installed eSIM as your mobile-data line when you want to use the travel plan.
6. Turn on the eSIM line
Open the eSIM settings and make sure the line is enabled.
7. Enable Data Roaming for the byOne eSIM
Travel eSIMs may require Data Roaming to connect to partner networks. Keep data roaming disabled on your primary SIM if you want to avoid roaming charges from your home carrier.
8. Check APN and network selection if required
Some plans require a specific APN or supported network. Follow the plan-specific instructions shown in My eSIM. Do not select a particular network unless your byOne plan instructions tell you to do so.
9. Wait for the supported network
Your eSIM will provide mobile data once it connects to a supported network and the plan is active according to its activation policy.
10. Do not delete an active eSIM
Many eSIM profiles can only be installed once. If you may need the eSIM again or plan to top it up, turn the line off instead of deleting it.
Having trouble?
Check compatibility, confirm Data Roaming, review the APN, toggle Airplane Mode, and verify the selected mobile-data line.
